A key feature of Nissan’s vehicles is the low-emission, economical engine technology called “PURE-DRIVE”. Created out of concern for the environment there have been a large number of vehicles developed around this system. Of course, Nissan has facilities all over the world, and its cars are popular not only in Japan but worldwide, making it a truly global company.

Now, the ICC has arranged for a visit to Nissan Factory in Yokohama. At the Yokohama factory, 3 different types of engines are assembled; the VR-engine of the Nissan GT-R, the MR-engine of the Serena and the VK-engine of the INFINITI brand. You can see the assembly line of the newest MR-engine at the factory.

As the final part of the tour, we will go to the engine museum attached to the factory. You can feel the changes in technology in the 28 most important engine types in the history of Nissan, from the 7-engine which was the first engine assembled at the Yokohama factory in 1935, right through to the newest racing engines.

And all the participants joining in this factory tour can get a special present from Nissan, a toy car!

If you’re interested in how global companies operate, love cars and engines or just want to experience how complicated technology is actually made, please join us on our tour of the Nissan Yokohama factory.

Date and Time

June 4th 2019（Tue) 2:00pm-4:00pm

Meeting Point & Time

Please indicate which meeting point you would like to use on the application form.
Meeting Point 1: Takadanobaba Bus Rotary @ 12:10pm
Meeting Point 2: JR Shin-Koyasu Station Ticket-gate in front of Newdays Convenience Store. @ 1:20pm

※ Please note that meeting point 2 is at JR Shin-Koyasu station, not “Keihinkyuukou” Shin-Koyasu Station!
※ Finish in front of Nissan Yokohama factory.

Tour Includes

Engine assembly line visit, Engine Museum Visit.

Venue

NISSAN Yokohama Factory

Eligibility

Waseda University Students

Fee

Free
※You must pay for your travel fee to Shin-Koyasu station (Takadanobaba-Shin-Koyasu is 550 yen one-way)

Language

Japanese

Registration

Required.
