(2019)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/inst\/icc\/assets\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Haiku_Poetry_Poster.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Poster<\/a><\/p>\n<p>How much experience do you have with &#8220;Haiku&#8221;?<br \/>\nJapanese students have probably studied and created Haiku in junior and senior high school class.<\/p>\n<p>Haiku is one of the world&#8217;s shortest forms of poetry, characterised by its basic 5-7-5 pattern 17 syllable structure.<br \/>\nIt has become intimately familiar to Japanese people since long ago for its expressions of everyday events and the4 seasons in literature.<\/p>\n<p>Now we have invited Mr. Toru Kiuchi, a director of the Haiku International Association to conduct an English Haiku workshop here at the ICC. After learning about English Haiku you can try making your own Haiku poem in English. Received a doctorate from Nihon University in 2003.<br \/>\nWas a professor at Nihon University until 2017. Has been a director of the Haiku International Association since 2003.
