Founded in 1837, the school is a liberal arts college with around 2500 students. Having one of the first schools of music, it often offers free concerts performed by selected students.<\/p>\n<p>The orchestra which is visiting Japan this time has performed concerts not only in America but also in Europe and other parts of the world.<br \/>\nThey will perform a special program for their visit to Japan, with Jazz and Pop music mixed in so even if you don&#8217;t usually enjoy classical music you will find something you like here!<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, the Tsugaru-jamisen Circle\u00a0 Mitsudomoe from Waseda University will show us a great shamisen performance for an opening act!<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s share the joy of the new year listening to your fellow students from America playing the last concert in Okuma Auditorium before it closes for refurbishment.<\/p>\n<h5>Date<\/h5>\n<p>January 17th, 2019 (Thu)<\/p>\n<h5>Time<\/h5>\n<p>6:30-8:00pm (Open from 6:00pm)<\/p>\n<h5>Place<\/h5>\n<p>Waseda University Okuma Auditorium<\/p>\n<h5>Eligibility<\/h5>\n<p>Waseda students, Staff &amp; General Public<\/p>\n<h5>Fee<\/h5>\n<p>Free<\/p>\n<h5>Language<\/h5>\n<p>English and Japanese<\/p>\n<h5>Registration<\/h5>\n<p>Not Required<\/p>\n<h5>Performers<\/h5>\n<p>\u2605<a href=\"https:\/\/www.depauw.edu\/music\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DePauw University Chamber Symphony (Indiana)<\/a>\u2605<br \/>\nAn orchestra made up of 35 students selected by audition. They have performed many concerts both in the United States and abroad.
