If any of these sound like you, then the ICC Outreach program is for you!<\/p>\n

The ICC Outreach Program pairs Japanese and international students to work together to create a lesson plan for a class meant to promote cross-cultural understanding.
\nThe lessons are then given at local Japanese elementary, junior, and senior high schools to help foster intercultural understanding among school students.<\/p>\n

Details of the program will be explained by the ICC at an orientation.
\nAfterwards, you and your partner will meet and work together to prepare the lesson plan until the day of the school visit.<\/p>\n

School: Waseda-jitsugyo Elementary School (Kokubunji-Shi, Tokyo)<\/h6>\n

Date: Dec. 6, 2017 (Wed) 8:50am – 12:15pm
\nClass: 3rd & 4th grade elementary school students (90 min. 2 times)
\nCapacity: 3 International students & 3 Japanese students<\/p>\n

School:\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Totsuka-daiichi Elementary School (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo)<\/h6>\n

Date: Dec. 8, 2017 (Fri) 11:30 – 13:00
\nClass: 3rd grade elementary school students (45 min.)
\nCapacity: 2 International students & 2 Japanese students<\/p>\n

School: Nishi-nakano Elementary School (Nakano-ku, Tokyo)<\/h6>\n

Date: Dec. 9, 2017 (Sat) 8:25 – 11:15am (Welcome party + 45min. lesson x 2)
\nClass: 1st to 6th grade elementary school students
\nCapacity: 3 International students & 3 Japanese students<\/p>\n

*By attending both Outreach visit days you can make more effective use of the lesson plan you have created by sharing it with more students!<\/strong><\/p>\n

*In addition to the above meeting, it is necessary to meet several times with your assigned partner in order to plan, prepare, and practice the lesson.
\n*Transportation expenses and lesson plan materials (paper, color copies, etc) will be provided by the ICC.
\n*Although this is a volunteer program, participants will be teaching a class at a scheduled time and school, and so dropping out of the program or being late is not acceptable.<\/p>\n
