\nNow here is your chance to learn the true value of money, on the ICC’s tour of the Japan Mint!<\/p>\n
The Japan Mint was founded in 1871; it is an independent administrative institution of the Japanese government that makes Japan’s coins and medals. As well as making the coins we use every day the mint also makes Japanese orders for service such as the National Honor Award, and commemorative coins for special occasions.<\/p>\n
The Saitama branch of the Japan Mint was opened in 2016 with a new building and attached exhibition space that is double the size of the previous factories.<\/p>\n
Now the ICC is taking you on a special tour of this brand new branch of the Japan Mint.
\nThis is a very rare chance to find out about more about large scale Japanese manufacturing technology.
\nWe will watch the manufacturing process of coins and decorations with a full guided tour, and then pay a visit to the museum where you can see the various forms of Japanese coins and honors over the years.<\/p>\n
And of course, while on the tour you can mix with your fellow participants, meet new people and have fun learning about the minting process.
