Book review game Bibliobattle@ICC (2016\/11)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Have you ever read a book review in a magazine or seen one introduced on TV and then gone down to the bookstore to check it out?<br \/>\nOr had a book recommended to you by a friend or family member that you became interested in?<\/p>\n<p>Book recommendations from other readers have a lot of power, the power to give you an image of a book before you&#8217;ve even read a word, and to tell you the most interesting parts about it.<br \/>\nStronger than anything else is that feeling from a person of &#8220;I want to share with you why I love this book!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Now, we have a place to show the strength of that feeling; the &#8220;Bibliobattle&#8221;!<br \/>\nA &#8220;Bibliobattle&#8221; is where the &#8220;battlers&#8221; (people introducing the books) introduce one of their favourite books, and the winner is whoever catches the interest of the audience the most with their introduction.<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s fun, exciting and the rules are very simple!<br \/>\n1. Battlers choose a book they have read that they though was interesting.<br \/>\n2. Battlers, one by one, have five minutes each to introduce their book.<br \/>\n(plus three minutes for Q&amp;A)<br \/>\n3\uff0eAt the end is the audience vote; &#8220;Which book do you most want to read now?&#8221;<br \/>\nThe one with the most votes is declared &#8220;The King of Books&#8221;!<\/p>\n<p>Which book will be crowned &#8220;King of Books&#8221;?
