\nThere are lots of different kinds of \u201cI\u2019s\u201d in this world. <\/b><\/p>\n
I was in my 2nd<\/sup> year of high school when I first heard that there was lesbian among my friends. She was not a close friend, but she was really close with my best friend. One day, my best friend told me that this girl had come out to her and that she had also asked her out on a date. Since it was my first time dealing with an LGBT person, I couldn\u2019t give good advice to my best friend. I said, if you cannot understand what she\u2019s thinking, you should just ignore her.<\/p>\n In my eyes, my best friend was really confused and so I chose to think only about her welfare. However, my eyes did not see the lesbian girl and I also had no idea how hurt she would be. The lesbian girl and my best friend stopped their relationship after that and even now they are still not friends anymore. I now feel really bad and regret what I said.<\/p>\n My advice should have been, even if you cannot understand her, you still can be her friend. Why don\u2019t you talk to her about it and learn more? Actually even now I am still not sure what would be the best advice. However, at least, I have changed a bit through my experiences.<\/p>\n From now on, I would like to listen to LGBT people\u2019s voices more and more so that I can be independent from my own eyes and can harmonize with all the different kinds of \u201cI\u2019s\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" YOO JIN SILS Don\u2019t judge with your \u201ceyes\u201d.
