The lessons are then given at local Japanese\u00a0elementary, junior, and senior high schools to help foster intercultural\u00a0understanding among school students.<\/p>\n<p>Details of the program will be explained by the ICC at an orientation.\u00a0Afterward, you and your partner will meet and work together to prepare\u00a0the lesson plan until the day of the school visit.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"\/inst\/icc\/assets\/uploads\/2015\/11\/f8634130be1dfb95f5b49298cc840746.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Poster<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.waseda-icc.jp\/?p=1878\" target=\"_blank\">Blog<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/kuQJRqcbzr0\" target=\"_blank\">Outreach Program Introduction Video<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u3010Class\u3011<\/strong><br \/>\n3rd grade elementary school students<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u3010Content\u3011<\/strong><br \/>\nIntroduce your country and culture (45min.)<br \/>\n(Create and practice a lesson plan together with your partner,then carry it out at the school)<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u3010Eligibility\u3011<\/strong><br \/>\nWaseda Students who are able to participate in all the\u00a0meetings and the actual school visit and perform required duties.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u3010Capacity\u3011<\/strong><br \/>\n2 International students &amp; 2 Japanese students<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u3010Registration Process\u3011<\/strong><br \/>\nRegister online from Waseda-net Portal<br \/>\n&#8220;Waseda-net Portal&#8221;\u3000\u2192\u3000&#8221;System Services&#8221;\u3000\u2192\u3000&#8221;Applications&#8221;\u00a0\u2192&#8221;ICC\u30a2\u30a6\u30c8\u30ea\u30fc\u30c1\u3000\u6238\u585a\u7b2c\u4e00\u30fbICC Outreach Totsuka Daiichi&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u3010Registration Deadline\u3011<\/strong><br \/>\nNov. 23rd (Mon.) 9:00am (Results will be announced through email\u00a0on the same day, so please remember to check your email box)<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u3010Schedule\u3011<\/strong><br \/>\nNov. 27th (Fri.) 12:20-12:50pm Orientation @ICC lounge<\/p>\n<p>*In addition to the above meetings, it is necessary to meet several times\u00a0with your assigned partner in order to plan, prepare, and practice the lesson during Nov. 30 to Dec. 3.<br \/>\nICC, your partner, and you will decide when to have the meeting(s) after the orientation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u3010Class materials, transportation fee\u3011<\/strong><br \/>\nTransportation expenses and lesson plan materials (paper, color\u00a0copies, etc) will be provided by the ICC.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u3010Selection\u3011<\/strong><br \/>\nParticipants will be decided after considering your reasons for applying, \u00a0and also according to the details\/requests from the host schools.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u3010Participant responsibility\u3011<\/strong><br \/>\nAlthough this is a volunteer program, participants will be teaching\u00a0a class at a scheduled time and school, and so dropping out of the\u00a0program or being late is not acceptable.
