Yeats, whose works have defied\u00a0borders and captured the hearts of people from nation to nation.<\/p>\n As part of the global celebration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of\u00a0W.B. Yeats, the ICC is holding this special evening event where you can hear\u00a0a speech from the Irish Ambassador, an introductory lecture to Irish Culture\u00a0& Literature and finally there’ll be a reception with live Irish music performances\u00a0and refreshments. \nGraduated from the piano department of Kunitachi College of Music. After\u00a0graduating he formed the healing group “Shikinami” \uff08currently disbanded\uff09and gave frequent performances. He has performed at ceremonies at the Ise\u00a0Grand Shrine, appeared on NHK’s Friday Variety Shows and featured as a\u00a0regular on Nagoya’s FM Aichi for one year.
\nHe began studying Irish music after graduating from university and\u00a0currently gives performances on the tin whistle, the low whistle, the\u00a0Irish flute and the uilleann pipes. He also performed on the uilleann\u00a0pipes with the famous Irish band “The Chieftains” as a member of JUPC\uff08the Japan Uilleann Pipers Club\uff09.
\nHe played the tin whistle, the Irish flute and the uilleann pipes in the\u00a0soundtrack for the NHK morning drama “Massan”. He continues to perform\u00a0Irish music at various events.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Already a classically trained harpist, she studied the Irish style\u00a0with Kathleen Loughnane & Janet Harbison. She also learned traditional music from the Swedish Nyckelharpa player Leif Alpsjo. When the 7 time Grammy award winning band “The Chieftains” performed in Japan in November 2012, she played with them as part of a tribute band known as the “Lady Chieftains”.
