ICC’s highly popular Speak Your Mind Camp is back!
\nAnd this time we’ll be bringing together students from\u00a03 East Asian countries: Japan, China & Korea!<\/p>\n
Out of the roughly 5,000 international students at Waseda,\u00a0almost 70 percent are from China and Korea.
\nThis provides an excellent opportunity for students from\u00a0all 3 countries to interact and get to know each other better.<\/p>\n
These 3 countries have close diplomatic relations and\u00a0intertwined histories dating far back. In recent years however,\u00a0it is pop-culture that has become a major medium for\u00a0exchange among young people in these nations.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, due to their cultural and geographical\u00a0proximity, each country has a variety of stakes and interests,\u00a0and so along with friendship, friction is also a part of their\u00a0relationship. Especially with the recent territorial issues.<\/p>\n
For those interested in trilateral relations, the ICC will hold a\u00a03-day exchange camp at Kamogawa seminar house where students can\u00a0share their true opinions with one another on a variety of issues.
\nSet aside any negative sentiments, think about the future together,\u00a0and say what’s on your mind as you relax in the mountains.<\/p>\n
