Moreover,\u00a0the camp includes a stay at a hotel located right at the slopes!<\/p>\n<p>This camp will also use the ICC&#8217;s unique No Border rules.\u00a0This means that using your real name, telling where you&#8217;re from\u00a0or what year you are in school is not allowed throughout the trip.<\/p>\n<p>Come experience this deeper way of getting know people that comes\u00a0without any preconceptions. Don&#8217;t miss this unique opportunity!<\/p>\n<p>\u25c6ICC No Border Camp Rules<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u00a0No asking or telling nationality, department, school year, age<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0No using real names, only nicknames<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Can use English or Japanese only.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Must turn your cell phone off.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Must proactively share your opinions, ask other&#8217;s thei opinions,<br \/>\nand have an open mind.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><strong>Date<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>February 16 (Mon) &#8211; 18 (Wed); 3 days 2 nights<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Place<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture (Sugadaira Kogen)<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Current Waseda students<br \/>\n(first time\/beginner skiers or snowboarders)<br \/>\n\u203bMust participate in the skiing\/snowboarding lessons.<br \/>\n\u203bMust choose whether you wish to ski or snowboard in advance.<br \/>\n\u203bMust be able to understand basic Japanese.\u00a0\uff08skiing\/snowboarding instruction will be in Japanese only\uff09<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Capacity<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>120 people (30 minimum required)<br \/>\n*If there are more than 90 applicants, there will be 3 buses.<br \/>\nIf there are more than 60 people but less than 89 applicants,<br \/>\nthere will be two buses that will be limited to 80 applicants (chosen by lottery).<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Fee<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>16,000yen (after the half of the actual fee has been subsidized by the Waseda ICC\uff09<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fee includes<br \/>\nTransportation, accommodation\uff082 nights, 6 meals), accident\u00a0insurance, instruction fee, lift ticket (2 days)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Fee does not include<br \/>\nSki or snowboard rental, ski or snowboard wear rental,\u00a0accessory rental (gloves, hat, goggles), helmet for snowboading\u00a0personal expenses (laundry, additional food\/drinks, doctor&#8217;s\u00a0initial medical fees [some can be reimbursed]\uff09<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For those wishing to rent the above items, additional fees\u00a0will apply (depending the items, from 500 &#8211; 5,500 yen).<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Application Deadline<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Jan. 19th (Mon) 9:00am<br \/>\n*In the event of a large number of applicants,\u00a0a lottery will be held.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Result Announcement<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong><\/strong>A mail will be sent to the email address you registered\u00a0on Jan. 19th (Mon).
