Although it was a short time, I had the opportunity to interact with various people\u2014those of different races, religions, genders, and values. As I spent time communicating with people from different backgrounds, I felt that we gradually started to understand and accept each other’s cultures. The relationships formed through overcoming cultural differences brought a deep sense of connection and great joy. Having had such a meaningful experience myself, I now want to help provide that opportunity for others, which is why I applied to become an SSL. People from different countries, cultures, and values connect and deepen their understanding of one another… This is miraculous. \nI also feel truly fortunate to be in an environment where I meet many people, encounter new perspectives, and grow every day. With the support of the senior SSLs and ICC staff whom I deeply respect, I am continuing to learn new things and spend my days feeling inspired and fulfilled.
