Did you know that there are wagashi unique to each season? The design, naming and materials used express the sense of each season, and you can feel the four seasons by looking at and eating wagashi,.<\/p>\n<p>We have invited an instructor from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baikatei.co.jp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Baikatei<\/a>, a long-established shop in Kagurazaka, to hold a hands-on wagashi class. The master craftsman will teach you, so don\u2019t hesitate to join even if it\u2019s your first time!<\/p>\n<p>We will be making a chrysanthemum by wrapping bean paste balls in colored dough. Participants can learn about traditional Japanese culture through the experience of making wagashi. After making the sweets, you can enjoy eating them while talking with each other and taking pictures!<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in traditional Japanese culture and Japanese sweets, or if you just have a sweet tooth, please join us!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Guest:\u00a0Mr. Takeshi Inoue<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Recognized as Excellent Master of Wagashi by the National Wagashi Association, Tokyo Meister by the Governor of Tokyo, and Master Craftsman by Shinjuku City. Part-time lecturer at Shinjuku Culinary Institute. Engaged in activities to increase the international recognition of Japanese confectionery, such as lectures in the U.K. for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs\u2019s Japan Brand Program. Lectured on tea ceremony and Japanese confectionery and held classes on Japanese confectionery for students from Ochanomizu University Senior High School and Harvard University. He is also a recipient of the Imperial Household Agency&#8217;s official warrant.
