Hello guys, I am here to briefly share my thoughts and feedback on the ECC, English <\/span>Chat Club.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/span>During my university life, the most depressing thing is my terrible Japanese ability, <\/span>which restricts a lot my speaking content in daily communication<\/span> with<\/span> my colleagues <\/span>and teachers. This leads<\/span> my being<\/span> eager<\/span> for<\/span> a chance to share my thoughts and daily <\/span>li<\/span>fe in English. With this strong eager<\/span>ness<\/span> and the advertisement posted by ICC, I <\/span>realized being a supporter of ECC is exactly what I needed for my university life.<\/span> And <\/span>thus, I was<\/span> able<\/span> to be a supporter in ECC<\/span> i<\/span>n May 2023, and in fact I was also lucky <\/span>enou<\/span>gh to be a supporter in June<\/span> 2023<\/span> again!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/span>B<\/span>eing a supporter of the ECC, unlike the participants, we were responsible to lead <\/span>the group<\/span> in<\/span> interacting with one another. As most of the participants<\/span> do<\/span> not hav<\/span>e <\/span>English as their first language, this<\/span> may<\/span> be ch<\/span>allenging if you are hosting the group <\/span>for the first time. However, don<\/span>\u2019<\/span>t worry, you will receive guidance and activit<\/span>y <\/span>suggestions before each ECC club<\/span> meeting<\/span>!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/span>Each supporter host<\/span>s<\/span> a group with 4<\/span>–<\/span>5 participants, as you are the only supporter in <\/span>the gro<\/span>up, you will have to be very energetic to encourage your participants to speak <\/span>English. But trust me, you will find the interesting part very soon<\/span>:<\/span> I realized <\/span>participants<\/span> ar<\/span>e much<\/span> more<\/span> willing to share themselves in the following sessions. <\/span><\/span>One of my<\/span> participants shared his project presentation with the whole group, despite <\/span>the fact that we only kn<\/span>e<\/span>w each other through<\/span> the<\/span> ECC club. In the ending session in <\/span>May, as it was a free<\/span> talk<\/span> session, I prepared an exciting card game to play and have <\/span>fun<\/span> toge<\/span>th<\/span>er<\/span>;<\/span> it was an unforgettable experience in my point of view, no doubt. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n I<\/span>f you are still worrying about your ability to be a supporter, in fact this is only just a <\/span>small excuse that prevents you<\/span>r<\/span> join<\/span>ing<\/span> this wonderful event<\/span>, because t<\/span>here will<\/span> b<\/span>e <\/span>clear gui<\/span>dance on what you should and shouldn<\/span>\u2019<\/span>t<\/span> do<\/span>, and all of your participants will <\/span>be respectful<\/span> of<\/span> each other! So, what are you waiting for?
