Early spring is the season for delicious bamboo shoots, the ivory-colored sprouts of an edible species of bamboo. The tender, crisp shoots are used in numerous Asian dishes, including Japanese.<\/span><\/p>\n

Join us for a\u00a0special trip to hunt them at Waseda’s scenic Tokorozawa campus!\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After the bamboo shoot hunt, you’ll enjoy a walk around the Tokorozawa Campus and a social time. We will also guide you to popular spots on the Tokorozawa Campus including Totoro\u2019s Forest<\/span>,<\/span> which was the model for the<\/span> famous movie \u201cMy Neighbor Totoro\u201d!\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
