Have you ever paid attention to body language?<\/p>\n

You may think that you rarely use it in your daily life. However, experts say that people in conversation transmit more than 10,000 non-verbal cues, including body language, every second. Body language is not only gestures, but also unconscious signals in the details of facial expressions and posture.<\/p>\n

By understanding and using body language effectively, you can make yourself more attractive, make what you want to convey more convincing, know the true intentions of the other person, and communicate more effectively with a wide range of people. It will be definitely useful for students who will enter society in the near future, such as when interacting with people from different cultural backgrounds, or when making sales presentations in business.<\/p>\n

For this ICC talk session, our guest speaker will be Ms. Yoko Asaka, who has taught self-branding techniques for people such as politicians, actors and entrepreneurs in the United States and Japan, and founded the International Body Language Association. She will explain attractive communication techniques that capture the hearts of people regardless of race, gender or personality, through body language, which is more influential than words.<\/p>\n

This is a valuable opportunity not only for those interested in body language and intercultural communication, but also for anyone who wants to improve their skills for job hunting or class presentations, or if you just want to be able to communicate better!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

About the Speaker<\/h5>\n

Yoko Asaka (International Body Language Association)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Born in Chicago, USA. After graduating from the State University of New York in Image Consulting, she received her International Protocol Certification from the Protocol School of Washington, D.C. In 2016, she founded the International Body Language Association, which provides politicians, newscasters and business people with the opportunity to learn the latest impression management techniques in New York. She also provides consulting services for corporations and medical institutions on non-verbal communication, body language training and image strategy, and writes columns for Forbes and AERA Style Magazine. Author of “Japanese Clothes and Gestures that Make Americans in New York and Washington Laugh” (Kodansha Plus Alpha Shinsho) and “CLASS ACT: The Culture of ‘Appearance’ that the World’s Business Elite Must Learn” (PHP Institute).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
