If you’re spending spring in Japan, this is an event you cannot miss!
\nWithout “Hanami” you cannot say spring is here. In Japan, NO SAKURA NO SPRING!
\nSo how about interacting with students from all over the world while enjoying the beauty of the fully blooming sakura?
\nWe cannot eat or drink together because we must prevent the spread of the Novel Coronavirus, but let’s wander together through the blossoms along the banks of the Kanda River.<\/p>\n

If you want to make some fresh new friends this spring, then please come and join us!<\/p>\n

Important points when applying<\/h5>\n

In general, cancellation after applying is not accepted.
\nPlease check your schedule carefully before applying.
\nCancellation Policy<\/a><\/p>\n

*There is a possibility that this program may be cancelled due to the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). In the event of cancellation, you will be notified as soon as possible by the ICC.<\/p>\n

*The capacity and program are subject to change, in regards to the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).<\/p>\n

*In order to reduce physical contact, you cannot share belongings among other participants.<\/p>\n

*Before applying for this event, please be sure to read our \u3010Precautions to Prevent the Spread of the Novel Coronavirus\u3011 listed below and consent to each item.<\/p>\n

Precautions to Prevent the Spread of the Novel Coronavirus<\/h5>\n

1.We ask that those affected by the following refrain from participating in this event.<\/p>\n

\u30fbThose who have a fever (above 37.5C or more than 1 degree above normal) or symptoms of a cold and\/or those who currently feel unwell (symptoms of fatigue or breathlessness etc.).
\n\u30fbThose who have travelled to countries or regions and\/or have been in close contact\u202fwith residents of these places within the previous 14 days where the government has implemented immigration restrictions or still requires a quarantine period to enter.
\n\u30fbThose who have family members and\/or housemates they are living with that have shown symptoms of cold etc.<\/p>\n

2.We ask that participants please wear a mask at all times. Also, that they observe strict hand disinfection and coughing\/sneezing etiquette.<\/p>\n

3.Regarding trash, please bring your own plastic trash bag with you and use it to keep your trash, please close the bag tightly when it is not being used.<\/p>\n

4.Please take strict care of your health from 2 weeks before the program right through to the end (regularly check your temperature and be aware of any other symptoms). We also ask that you avoid the 3 Cs (crowds, confined spaces and close contact situations) and fill in a health check form (we will share this form with you later on).<\/p>\n

5.In the event that you have a fever, cough or other symptoms during the program, we ask that you contact a member of staff immediately and that you withdraw from the program.<\/p>\n

6.In the event that you begin to show symptoms within 2 weeks after the end of the program we ask that you notify us immediately.<\/p>\n

7.We ask that you follow all instructions on the day from Waseda University ICC staff regarding measures for the prevention of the spread of the Novel Coronavirus.<\/p>\n

8.The \u201cWaseda University student compensation system (Compensation for Disability and Liability Coverage)\u201d which is a part of the university, does not apply to the Novel Coronavirus.<\/p>\n

9.Participation in this program may pose health and safety risks. Furthermore, there is a risk that the event itself may be harmed due to a person\u2019s illness.
\nIf any of the above occurs, it will be the responsibility of the person concerned.<\/p>\n
