As excitement grows in Japan for the Tokyo Olympics in 2020, expectations are growing for a great increase in inbound tourism.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, there are problems associated with sudden increases in visitors from overseas including over tourism and differences in culture and values which can cause problems for the side accepting visitors as we have seen recently.<\/p>\n

Now at the ICC, we have invited the inbound tourism industry leading JTB’s Yasuhiro Tsuboi as a guest speaker to talk about issues related to inbound tourism from the perspective of intercultural understanding.<\/p>\n

– What is JTB’s strategy for inbound tourism?
\n– What is happening on the front lines of the inbound tourism world?
\n– What are the most important things to allow us to connect with people visiting Japan?<\/p>\n

\nOperating officer of JTB since 2009. Concurrently works as president and representative director of JTB Kanto. After becoming president of JTB PTE Ltd (JTB Asia Pacific) and director of JTB, he became the dept. chief for promotion of inbound tourism through this post at 2019. He conducts numerous talks on the inbound markets (in general) in all around Japan. He not only works for JTB group, but also is the vice-chair of the Japan Association of Travel Agents Inbound Travel Executive Committee<\/p>\n
