Delicious full breakfast, fancy afternoon tea, crumbly shortbread, and traditional soft welshcake will change your opinion of British cuisine.<\/p>\n<p>At the ICC, we are bringing you the chance to discover a Britain filled with culture including beautiful landscapes and food.<\/p>\n<p>There will be presentations from the British Embassy introducing travel spots and the food cultures of the four countries. Additionally, there will be a Celtic music performance and a Scottish Bagpipe performance, afterwards you can even try to play bagpipes yourself. Then you will have a chance to learn British English in a mini lesson and there will also be a chance to taste Haggis, Scotland&#8217;s national dish, and popular snacks in the UK. Cafe discussion time (with free British snacks!)<\/p>\n<h5>Guests<\/h5>\n<p>\u2605Bagpipe performer, Mr. Atsushi Yamane<\/p>\n<p>Director of NPO Japan Scotland Society and representative of the Tokyo Pipe Band. He was part of the Tokyo Piping Society when he was in university. The Tokyo Pipe Band was founded in the 1890s and has participated in many oversea competitions. They also did welcome performances when Ireland&#8217;s Ambassador of Music; The Chieftans, and Spanish Galician musician, Carlos Nunez came to visit Japan, also appeared in Music TV Programs and Educational TV Programs on NHK. Mr. Yamane received a qualification as an instructor at Glasgow College of Piping, and currently acts as the band&#8217;s leader and instructor. With the development of the internet, it is easier to get instruments and musical scores these days, however, to perform the music, the foundations should be cherished. Alongside his Scottish style instruction and performance, he continues to spread &#8220;real&#8221; Scottish culture.<\/p>\n<p>\u2605Waseda Celtic Music Club<\/p>\n<p>Waseda Celtic Music Circle, also known as &#8220;Wasekeru&#8221;, is the only circle performs traditional Celtic music in Waseda University. They mainly play the traditional music of Ireland and Scotland.
