ICC Talk session: “Let’s try zazen! How to make yourself shine with Zen” with Rev. Issho Fujita (Priest of the Soto School of Zen)

Poster

Currently becoming recognised throughout the world is the practice of zazen meditation.
zazen meditation has spread from Japan to the United States where it has become very popular. Giant companies such as Google, Facebook, Nike and Intel are incorporating these classes into their workplace training; even the late Steve Jobs was captivated by zazen.

– OK but, what is zazen?
– If you want to refresh your tired body from the inside. If you want to try something new. If you want a taste of “order” within yourself. If you want to learn how to live within the moment. If you want to touch a world that is beyond thought…

Then we have good news for you!
The ICC has invited Reverend Issho Fujita, who has studied and taught zazen meditation in the United States for 17 and a half years. He will take you on a fascinating journey through Zen; from the basics through to teaching zazen abroad, as well as the everyday life of a Zen Buddhist priest and a detailed explanation of Zen Buddhist training methods.
It really is an amazing opportunity to hear a unique lecture and feel the appeal of Zen.
And there will also be a chance to try out zazen meditation yourself. You can freely enjoy the experience of zazen right here on campus!

Of course beginners are more than welcome; we’re just waiting for your application!
Oh, and please make sure to wear loose, comfortable clothes!
