About novel coronavirus-related pneumonia

An outbreak of pneumonia associated with the novel coronavirus is presently occurring in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China. In Japan, an ordinance designating the novel coronavirus as a *1designated infectious disease” has been passed. Due to this ordinance, the novel coronavirus infection is now considered a *2Type 1 Infection under the School Health and Safety Act.

It is important to take regular measures to prevent infection, such as observing*3cough etiquette and handwashing, as it is also currently cold and flu season.

If you have traveled from Wuhan City or have been in contact with anyone from this city, and have symptoms such as coughing or fever, please take precautions like wearing a mask and contact a medical institution to inform them of your situation in advance before visiting for an examination.
