【8/1~9/30】Center Opening Hours

From August to the end of September, we will be providing our services both online and in person. Only Waseda University students, guardians, faculty, staff and other affiliated members can use these services after making an appointment. Please check the rules and regulations regarding the center and the university campus.

Hours of operation (phone / email)

Appointments: Weekdays 9:00 a.m. ~ 5:15 p.m.
*except for 8/8 (sat) ~ 8/16 (sun), 8/24 (mon), 8/31 (mon), 9/7 (mon), 9/11 (fri), 9/16(wed)

In-person opening hours

11:00 a.m. ~ 3:00 p.m. (Only Wednesdays and Fridays)
*except for 8/12 (wed), 8/14 (fri), 9/4 (fri), 9/11 (fri), 9/16(wed)

Rules for entering campus and the center

・On the day you come to campus, take your temperature at home and make sure that it is at average body temperature and that you show no symptoms of thenovel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection. If you have a fever that is 37.5℃ or more, or if you have doubts about your state of health, please refrain from entering the campus.
Please disinfect your hands and wear a mask upon entering the center.
Please keep your psychical  distance at about two meters.
After returning from abroad, please self-quarantine for 14 days at home, starting the next day.
We will collect your student ID once you arrive, so that we can contact you in case of a possible infection. We may contact you through the email address that you provide in this form. We will only use your student ID to identify your name and phone number only in the case of emergencies. We will not be using it for other purposes and promise to keep the information separate from the contents of your counseling.
We may disclose your contact information to the public health care center if a COVID-19 infection is confirmed at the center.
Please contact “ (#→@)” in case you test positive for COVID-19 within 14 days after visiting the center. 


(a) Individual Counseling

Feel free to ask the faculties and staff about anything related to gender and sexual orientation diversity. Currently for students only.

There is a specialized staff member who can speak English (at the everyday conversation level) at GS center, but depending on the content of the counseling, this might become difficult to respond due to the lack of English proficiency of the staff. Please apply for counseling using the form below. Please select your preferred counseling style (face-to-face, online or Email).

(b) Chat Space & Reading Space

You can visit the Gender & Sexuality center if you make an appointment. Each slot in the form is worth 30 minutes. As a general rule, only one person will be allowed to visit during the time of the appointment. However, we will remain flexible depending on your needs (We will prioritize our in-person counseling schedule). Please note that we may not be able to respond to your needs as quickly because we have reduced the number of staff working on site to reduce the risks of infection. (The staff on site is a Japanese speaker)

You can register your appointment through this form (Japanese) or send us an email at “ (#→@)”, indicating  (a) the area you would like to use (chat space or reading space) and (b) your preferred date and the time (list up to three preferences).

(c) Online Events (English-Meet-up)

We are not planning any English events during the summer break. Our regular English events will resume with the beginning of the fall semester.


For Non-University Affiliates

Non-affiliated persons are not not allowed to use/ stay in our center. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope you understand. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us through this form (Japanese).
