Waseda University provides contact points for inquiries about facilities and schemes for work life balance support and consultation-style services for discussing matters related to careers, psychological/physical wellbeing, legal issues, etc. in addition to inquiries via the Work Life Balance Support.
Please familiarize yourself with the purposes and targeted clientele of each point of contact.

Waseda students, and faculty and staff are eligible to use the Waseda University Nursery Center for Students and Faculty (STEP21, 1F) during their classes, seminars, and other university activities. User subscription is required, and reservations are necessary.

Dedicated staff members at the Career Center provide one-on-one guidance in the privacy of a consultation booth. Students who have completed recruitment activities may participate as Student Career Advisors (SCA) until graduation and advise younger students on their recruitment activities. 【Who is eligible to register with the Waseda Doctoral Student Career Navigator】
Coordinators from the Doctoral Student Career Center provide doctoral students with assistance and advice on their future careers with doctorate qualifications. This service is available to doctoral students in their second term, post-doctoral researchers (within about 5 years of their degree conferment), and master’s degree and undergraduate students (provided that they are considering continuing to a doctoral degree course). Offers one-on-one consultation (appointment required; use dedicated website “Waseda Doctoral Student Career Navigator”).

Students can seek consultation about concerns of any kind related to their everyday lives. The Center provides free psychotherapy (by clinical psychotherapists) and legal counseling by lawyers. There are branch offices on the Toyama, Nishi-Waseda, and Tokorozawa campuses. Offers one-on-one consultation (appointment preferred). Appointments are required for counseling on legal matters.

Counseling on psychological and physical wellbeing

Students can speak about their concerns and anxiety issues. The Center provides counseling by public health nurses and psychiatrists. Referrals to external medical facilities may be made as appropriate. Offers one-on-one counseling (appointment required).
*Counseling by psychiatrists is provided under health insurance coverage.

The Center provides counseling by physicians and/or public health nurses. Counseling by gynecologists, nephrologists, or registered nutritionists is also available by appointment. Referrals to other forms of specialist assistance may be made as appropriate. Appointments are also required for women’s health issues, etc.

Please note, however, that inquiries on cases against parties involved with the University are not accepted. Offers one-on-one counseling (appointment required).
