\u3010History\/\u6b74\u53f2\u3011<\/strong>
\n<\/span>In 2013, Dr. Sachiko Kuno, Co-Founder, President, and CEO of S&R Foundation and Professor Shotaro Yachi, current national security advisor to Prime Minister Abe, formulated a study abroad program for Japanese undergraduate and graduate students with a focus on International Security and Global Resiliency. This idea came out of a few similar programs S&R Foundation had been involved with including the Kyoto University Global Leadership Program and the International Institute of Global Resiliency Leadership Development Program for Keio University and Kumamoto University with a focus on Emergency Management. In 2015 this program evolved into the current Kingfisher Global Leadership Program, a two-week long U.S. study abroad program for Japanese undergraduate and graduate students implemented by S&R Foundation in partnership with Professor Shotaro Yachi for students of four Tokyo based universities \u2013 The University of Tokyo, Keio University, Waseda University and Sophia University.<\/p>\n

2013\u5e74\u3001S&R\u8ca1\u56e3\u5171\u540c\u5275\u696d\u8005\u517c\u6700\u9ad8\u7d4c\u55b6\u8cac\u4efb\u8005\uff08CEO\uff09\u517c\u7406\u4e8b\u3067\u3042\u308b\u4e45\u80fd\u7950\u5b50\u535a\u58eb\u3068\u73fe\u5185\u95a3\u56fd\u5bb6\u5b89\u5168\u4fdd\u969c\u5c40\u9577\u8c37\u5185\u6b63\u592a\u90ce\u6559\u6388\u306f\u56fd\u969b\u5b89\u5168\u4fdd\u969c\u3068\u4e16\u754c\u7684\u5fa9\u5143\u529b\u306b\u7126\u70b9\u3092\u3042\u3066\u305f\u65e5\u672c\u306e\u5927\u5b66\u30fb\u5927\u5b66\u9662\u306e\u5b66\u751f\u3092\u5bfe\u8c61\u3068\u3057\u305f\u6d77\u5916\u7559\u5b66\u30d7\u30ed\u30b0\u30e9\u30e0\u3092\u4f5c\u308a\u4e0a\u3052\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

2015\u5e74\u3001\u8c37\u5185\u6b63\u592a\u90ce\u6559\u6388\u3068S&R\u8ca1\u56e3\u306e\u63d0\u643a\u306b\u3088\u308a\u6771\u4eac\u5927\u5b66\u3001\u6176\u5fdc\u5927\u5b66\u3001\u65e9\u7a32\u7530\u5927\u5b66\u3001\u4e0a\u667a\u5927\u5b66\u306e\u3001\u6771\u4eac\u306b\u62e0\u70b9\u3092\u7f6e\u304f\uff14\u5927\u5b66\u306e\u5927\u5b66\u30fb\u5927\u5b66\u9662\u306e\u5b66\u751f\u3092\u5bfe\u8c61\u3068\u3057\u305f2\u9031\u9593\u306e\u7c73\u56fd\u7559\u5b66\u30d7\u30ed\u30b0\u30e9\u30e0\u3067\u3042\u308b\u73fe\u5728\u306eKGL\u30d7\u30ed\u30b0\u30e9\u30e0\u306b\u767a\u5c55\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

\u3010Aims of this program\/\u672c\u30d7\u30ed\u30b0\u30e9\u30e0\u306e\u76ee\u6a19\u3011<\/strong>
\n<\/span>S&R Foundation\u2019s Kingfisher Global Leadership Program aims to empower the next generation of leaders with the skills and networks they need to affect positive social change through global leadership and social entrepreneurship.
\nTen undergraduate or graduate level students come to Washington,
\nDC for two full weeks to directly meet with leaders and innovators from many prominent international organizations, government organizations, think tanks and non-profits involved in many fields.

\u3010Details of the program\/\u30d7\u30ed\u30b0\u30e9\u30e0\u5185\u5bb9\u3011<\/strong>
\n<\/span>The Kingfisher Global Leadership Program is a two-week U.S. study abroad program implemented by S&R Foundation for Japanese undergraduate and graduate students designed to empower the next generation of leaders with the skills and networks they will need to thrive in an increasingly globalized society.<\/p>\n

Through a rich series of lectures given by experts in their respective fields, this multi-disciplinary, cross-cultural experience provides participants with opportunities to gain new perspectives directly from leaders at prominent organizations based in Washington, DC such as the World Bank, NASA and the U.S. State Department.<\/p>\n

Kingfisher elaborates on S&R\u2019s mission by focusing on intercultural collaboration between the U.S. and Japan, encouraging development of an individual\u2019s personal vision, and acknowledging a basic belief in the power of the individual to make positive societal changes through strong leadership. Kingfisher is generously supported by the United States-Japan Foundation.<\/p>\n
