・The system gets extremely crowded on the final day of the application period. If you wait until the last day, you may not be able to register by the deadline due to increased processing time. Please select your school carefully and register your application well in advance.

Listed below are answers to frequently asked questions about Study Abroad Fall Recruitment (Deadline: November 2020). Please confirm the contents beforehand.

・Are copies (not originals) of language proficiency test scores acceptable?
For the purpose of internal screening (at Waseda), results of language proficiency tests (such as TOEFL iBT/IELTS) will also be accepted in the form of printouts, etc. of the score report that can be viewed from your account on the test’s website.
・Will there be recruitments for programs departing half a year later?
In normal circumstances, fall recruitment of study abroad programs consist of 1 year/1semester programs for departure in spring (half a year later), as well as programs lasting 1 year or more for departure in fall of the following year (one year later). However, due to effects of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), fall recruitment for the current academic year will not include programs for departure half a year later. Please understand in advance that this fall, we will only recruit applicants of study abroad programs for departure in fall 2021.

However, please beware that the program list, various requirements of each program, etc., are subject to change according to circumstances at the partner university/institution.
・Are IELTS Indicator, TOEFL iBT ® Special Home Edition scores acceptable?
For the purpose of internal screening (at Waseda), applications using scores from IELTS Indicator, TOEFL iBT ® Special Home Edition will be accepted. However, please beware that there is a possibility that after you pass the internal screening, when you apply to your desired university, your prospective host university will decide that you need to submit a score report for the standard IELTS/TOEFL test (taken at a test center) with scores that are higher than the level they required.
