While filling out the student application to the exchange program, you will be able to choose your preference – whether you want to get a room, and whether your preferred room type is single or double. As the number of single rooms is limited, you may end up getting a double room even though you applied for a single room. In your pre-existing conditions (medical/psychological) specifically requires a single-room environment, please share your situation with us.

私はジェンダー学に興味があり、より深く勉強したいと思い、韓国はソウルにある梨花女子大学校に1年間の交換留学に行きました。まさか男子である自分が女子大で勉強するなんて想像もしていなかったです。今回の留学経験を表すとしたら「“マイノリティ”として生きる」だと思います。留学に行くまでは、日本人男性である自分が日本の普通の男女共学の学校に通ってきたので、自分がマイノリティと感じたり外部的存在であると思ったことはあまりありませんでした。しかし、今回外国人男性として韓国の女子大に行くと全てが逆転して、自分はある意味でマイノリティであったと思います。そのため、学校では常に警備員さんに学生証の提示を求められたり、現地の学生に白い目で見られたりなど、初めての経験でした。正直辛いところもありましたが、こう言った意味でもマイノリティの立場を感じる経験ができたことは良かったと思います。またちょうど日本と韓国の関係がよくない時だったので、どうかなと不安もありましたが、日本のメディアで報道されているような状況とは違う現地の実情を知ることができ、それも留学して良かった一つのポイントでした。
真面目そうなことを書きましたが、他にもいろんな友達ができたりおいしいご飯屋さんがたくさんあったりおしゃれなカフェが多かったりなど、といった点でも楽しい留学でした。

  • 留学が必修となっている国際教養学部の学生は、学部の許可をとった上で応募してください。
    For SILS students participation in a year-long study abroad program is part of the general degree requirements.
    Therefore, you must consult with your School Office in advance if you wish to apply to a semester program(s).
  • 通年科目が設置されている学部に属する学生が春学期留学をする場合、 科目登録ができず、帰国後の秋学期の授業を受けられない可能性があります。
    その他、専門演習(ゼミ)の登録や履修ができない等、支障が出る可能性がありますので、 所属学部・研究科に問い合わせ、よく確認の上、出願して下さい。
