ミュンヘン大学はバイエルン初の大学として1472年にインゴルシュタットに設立された。1826年にミュンヘンに移転し、今日ではドイツ国内で最も大きい大学の一つである。ヨーロッパでもトップクラスの大学として知られ、人文学、法学、経済学、社会学、医学等18の学部があり、190のコースを提供している。学生の15%が留学生という、国際化の進んだ大学でもある。ドイツ政府により指定強化大学に選定されている。

Q.留学を通じて得た成果を教えてください

私がドイツを留学先に選んだ一番の理由は、特に第二次世界大戦など日本と似たような歴史をもつといわれるドイツの歴史ついて触れ、それらが現代までどのように理解され、平和な社会の構築に貢献してきたかを学ぶというものでした。実際現地に行ってみると、思っていたより英語で開講されている歴史関連の授業が少なく、最初は選択を間違えてしまったかと思いましたが、上記で挙げた二つの授業はまさしく自分のしたかった勉強ができ、とても満足しています。また、日本人の先生とは授業外でも親交を重ねていただき、ワークショップに招待していただくなど、たくさん学ぶ機会をいただきました。さらには、授業内に限らず、実際にドイツ人や留学生とのコミュニケーションの中でどういった歴史教育を受けてきたのか、どういう価値観を持っているのかを聞くことで、生きた知識を得ることができたのは、期待以上の学びでした。

しかし一つ驚いたのは、平和学といった言葉が思っていた以上にドイツには浸透していなかったことです。当初のイメージでは過去の歴史から、そういった言葉が広く、一般的に知れ渡っていると思っていました。しかし、それは日本のように平和について学ぶことがどこか特別なものとして存在しているのではなく、当たり前なものとして浸透している表れではないかと感じました。帰国後は、こうした日独間の違いについて研究を重ね、歴史教育や平和教育のあるべき姿を模索できればと考えています.

一番興味深かった授業は? / Most interesting class

Vortrag und DiskussionとHistory of Munich and Bavaria

→ ドイツの歴史(特に第二次世界大戦や戦後)や平和についてミュンヘン大学の学生と日本人留学生数名と一緒に学ぶ授業でした。そもそもの留学理由の一つとして、ドイツと日本の戦争の歴史と戦後の歴史観や平和教育について学ぶというのがありましたが、授業の内容はまさしく自分の求めていたもので、毎回とても楽しく授業に参加していました。日本語学科の授業であるため、英語やドイツ語が伸びる授業ではありませんでしたが、日本語が大変な流暢な現地の学生とのディスカッションから多くの学びを得ることができ、改めて平和の大切さについて考える時間を持つことができました。今学期は、コロナの関係で、オンライン授業でしたが、先生のご厚意でオンライン授業を受ける教室を用意してくださったため、そこで現地の学生とも仲良くなることができました。最後には、平和教育というテーマでプレゼンをさせていただきました。自分が日本で学んだこと、ドイツに来てから学んだこと、それらを今一度整理しながら発表を作り、貴重なフィードバックもいただけ、今後の研究に繋がる学びも得ることができました。


-History of Munich and Bavaria

→ 歴史学科が開講しているミュンヘンとバイエルンに焦点をあてた歴史の授業でした。時代やテーマごとに各1~2名の生徒が毎週発表を行い、古い時代から順番に歴史について学びました。まずは、生徒のレベルがとても高く、毎度ディスカッションで多くの学びを得ました。さらには、座学の授業だけでなく、市内や遺跡を訪ねるフィールドワークもあり、五感をフル活用して歴史に触れることができました。こうして得た知識のおかげで、以前は何気なく歩いていたミュンヘンの街もまた新たな景色に見え、日常生活もより濃いものとなりました。

そして最後にもう一つ、ドイツの歴史を学ぶ上で重要なこととして、ナチス時代、民主主義への道があると思います。ミュンヘンはナチスが生まれた地ともいわれ、かつて拠点もありました。さらにはナチスに抵抗した学生団体として知られる白バラの学生はにミュンヘン大学の学生です。そうしたゆかりのある地に留学したからこそ、なぜそれが起こり、戦争に繋がってしまったのか、戦後彼らはどのように向き合ってきたのかということをたくさん考えることができたことが、一番の学びでした。"

  • 通年科目が設置されている学部に属する学生が春学期留学をする場合、 科目登録ができず、帰国後の秋学期の授業を受けられない可能性があります。
    その他、専門演習(ゼミ)の登録や履修ができない等、支障が出る可能性がありますので、 所属学部・研究科に問い合わせ、よく確認の上、出願して下さい。
