留学体験談 / Testimonial

Q.留学を通じて得た成果を教えてください / Q. What have you achieved through studying abroad?

Academically, I was able to expand my familiarity with political science research methods. Whereas my experience at Waseda SPSE has enabled me to harness my quantitative research ability and learn an array of statistical models, at my host university I was able to learn about qualitative political science especially through small-N case studies and historical analysis. As a result, I was able to tackle less quantifiable political science topics such as state-business relations, civil movements, and the state formation process.

Most importantly, my experience at my exchange university can be viewed as a continuation of my study of comparative politics in Waseda. Essentially, by taking comparative politics courses on various regions of the world such as Latin America and Asia, I was able to apply the comparative politics theories that I have learnt in Waseda to a diverse set of case and topics.

履修した科目 / Subjects you've taken

1. Political Leadership & Executive Government
2. Politics in Latin America
3. Introduction to Asian Politics
4. Korean 1
5. Asia's Changing Politics in Comparative Perspective
6. Democracy & Dictatorship
7. Issues in International Political Economy
8. Microeconomics 2

※現地で履修できる科目は年度、学期によって変更となる場合があります。
