PROGRAM

STUDY OPTIONS FOR
PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS
Our school offers a master's program and a doctoral program in several sports sciences' disciplines.
We welcome enthusiastic and curious students from all over the world to study and research at the cutting edge of sport science with us.
Sport
Culture
specialization
Courses within the specialization examine the role of sport in society and culture, in the past, present, and future, from the perspectives of the human and social sciences. Our graduates go on to careers in research and education, as well as in sports-related and other industries.
Sport
Business
specialization
This specialization covers a wide range of sport business perspectives including both for-profit sports in private (e.g. professional sports and fitness clubs) and non-profit sports in the public sector (e.g. governments and schools). Students who graduate from these courses are expected to play active roles in sport business leaders, sports researchers, as well as general managers who significantly influence sport organizations.
Sports
Medicine
specialization
Research topics in the Sports Medicine specialization are diverse and include perspectives from across the basic and applied sciences. Subjects include sports injury, preventive medicine, Paralympic/adapted sports, healthy aging, athletic training and others. Students will develop advanced and comprehensive knowledge in their selected subjects and develop capabilities to execute high-quality research. Upon graduation, students are expected to apply their expertise in Sports Medicine and Science as researchers, administrative officials, policy planners, or in corporate capacity as public health experts.
Kinesiology
specialization
In this field, we examine human performance from biomedical perspectives, aiming at enhancement of active life and improvement of sports performance. A variety of high-spec technologies such as artificial climate control chamber, EEG, EMG, multi-camera motion capture, MRI, TMS, etc., are available to our students, providing opportunities to take precise measurements of human body/motions and to integrate their textbook-knowledge with experimental data on human behavior/function, in order to design and conduct their own research/dissertation. With completion of the program, students will be prepared to apply their profound knowledge and research expertise to pursue their careers in research, teaching and sports-related and other professions.
Coaching
specialization
In this specialization, we examine coaching in modern society from the perspectives of sports science, education, and praxis (the integration of theory and practice). Through practical research and education, we aim to produce athlete-scholars with comprehensive knowledge, pedagogical skills, and research abilities to support sport and player development in the 21st century.
