PROFILE
Hirotaka Matsuoka is a professor of sport marketing in the Faculty of Sport Sciences at Waseda University in Japan. His teaching and research specialization is sport marketing. He is an active Japanese researcher in sport management and marketing and has had articles published in Japanese and international journals. He is on the management board of the Japanese Association for Sport Management, and the chief editor of Asian Sport Management Review. He also serves as a board member of the Japan Volleyball League Organization and a council member of the Hockey Japan League. Dr. Matsuoka earned his doctoral degree in sport management from The Ohio State University in 2001.
