The lecture focuses on regional as well as sub-regional cooperation in the framework of globalization since the 1990s. To a certain extent, all these efforts of trade as well as economic integration reflect further development of the Western models as they all advocate the dismantle of national barriers which are considered unhelpful to economic cooperation and integration process. And, can one take the FTAs as a post-Cold War phenomenon because the two superpowers were no more there to group economies into their respective umbrella? Or, is it also a post-Western and/or Post-American phenomena because the EU as well as the US are not strong enough to move their economies into their orbit?
