When I started my time at GSAPS, I had my final goal in mind–become a foreign service officer–and I intended that my time at Waseda help me realize that goal. Under the fantastic tutelage of Professor Gracia Liu-Farrer and the other professors at GSAPS, especially Professor Glenda Roberts, I could realize my goals both academic and professional. After my two years at Waseda, I went straight from Takadanobaba to Washington DC–even before technically graduating–as a foreign service officer with the United States Department of State. I credit the assistance and guidance of my GSAPS professors, zemi classmates, and the experience in research acquired at Waseda for much of my personal success. I hope to use my skills and competencies to help further my professional development and contribute to American diplomacy.
