in Modern Europe"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Overview<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In this research project, we engage in a multifaceted examination of the formation of \u201csocial sciences\u201d in modern Europe from the viewpoints of philosophy, history, and intellectual history.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In general, \u201csocial sciences\u201d is understood as the collective term for the systemic recognition of various studies that analyzed and evaluated social phenomena using the scientific method.\u00a0 With this understanding, the origins of social sciences can be traced to 19th century Auguste Comte\u2019s Positivism which was preceded by 18th century Marquis de Condorcet\u2019s application of mathematical methods to the social sciences and Adam Smith\u2019s Economics.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, if we broaden our horizons to include the philosophical reflections and the formational history of the \u201cscientific method,\u201d and investigate the roots and principles of the social sciences, it is possible to trace its origins to modern thought from the 15th &#8211;
