big data (D) is transformed into information (I), the information is organized as knowledge (K), and finally knowledge is integrated to wisdom (W) to solve a problem.

Even though computational approaches are varied, there are many cases where the same mathematical models, algorithms, and methods are used in different research fields. A commonality can also be found in the platforms used, where the same programming language, software, and hardware is utilized to address phenomena in different fields. In such a situation, it can be expected that cooperations between researchers from various fields has the potential to yield surprising findings.

Therefore, in this project, while taking advantage of the Faculty of Social Sciences’ unique features, researchers in various fields will have the opportunity to interact and exchange information with each other while improving their knowledge and skill in computational approaches. We strive to make great contributions to the field of computational approaches.

Members

Project Organizer: Yasunori Katsurayama

Affiliated Researchers: Tota Suko, Wataru Nakahashi

Adjunct Researcher: Hiroshi Wako (former professor of Waseda University)

Project Period

July 2, 2018 –
