Honestly, I had any worries. Before coming to Japan, I had watched many videos – documentaries, dramas and animations \u2013 they featured Japanese cultures. So, I already got enough information for the life style in Japan.<\/p>\n
Have you had any difficulties when you started a new life?<\/h3>\n
After arriving, I could start smoothly new life thanks to many Senpais\u2019 (senior students\u2019)help. Well, as I started Japanese Language study from zero, at the beginning it was difficult for me to communicate with others in Japanese.
\nI found the differences of the life style between Japan and my country; people use cars in my country as transportation methods, while most of the Japanese take trains.
\nThat\u2019s why, the first time I tried to go to a certain place by myself, everything was difficult to understand; how to get to there, the station name, how to buy the train ticket and so on. If I go to a certain place far from my apartment by train, in most case, I have to change trains at somewhere. But at the beginning, I didn\u2019t know how and where to change trains, I could not ask even simple questions in Japanese, either.
\nActually, I failed but I learned from those failures<\/p>\nHow is your life in Japan and WASEDA? What are you doing on your free time?<\/h3>\n
Well, I go swimming in the gym near my home, and I also often participate in events held by the university. Through many intramural and extramural events, I climbed Mt. Fuji, went snowboarding, and participated in Japanese language study or international study.
\nAs I think I should get involved with different people, I positively take part in events.
\nSo, I can speak Japanese at the level of daily conversation now, and I study business Japanese on my own.<\/p>\nAbout your research and laboratory; the relationship with your supervisor, with members at labs.<\/h3>\n
