But as I regularly use English in Vietnam, English is familiar to me. At Waseda University, notifications, instructions and guidance are given in English; it is very helpful for me.<\/p>\n<h3>Have you had any difficulties when you started a new life?<\/h3>\n<p>At the first day in my lab, my professor and every member helped me; setting up my pc and taking necessary procedures\u3000\u2026 they had done for me almost everything, they really helped me.<br \/>\nI think Japanese professors and students are very kind to international students.<\/p>\n<h3>Why did you know WASEDA ?<\/h3>\n<p>Firstly, I am from a university of member in SEED net, and Waseda is also a member in it.\u00a0 I checked Waseda\u2019s web and found Professor UCHIDA.\u00a0 My supervisor in Vietnam told me that Waseda is one of the best universities in Asia, and also Waseda have already accepted a Vietnamese student (my friend) before me.<\/p>\n<h3>Why did you choose WASEDA?<\/h3>\n<p>I got several acceptances from other universities in Japan.\u00a0 But Waseda is better than others and my Vietnamese friends have studied in Tokyo; I like Tokyo and wanted to study Tokyo, too.<\/p>\n<h3>How did you get information for our programs?<\/h3>\n<p>Almost through the internet.<br \/>\nWaseda\u2019s website gave me much information.<\/p>\n<h3>How is your life in Japan and WASEDA? What are you doing on your free time?<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/fsci\/assets\/uploads\/2016\/03\/CONFERENCE_Turkey__June_2013_21-200x150.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-3494\" alt=\"CONFERENCE_Turkey__June_2013_21-200x150\" src=\"http:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/fsci\/assets\/uploads\/2016\/03\/CONFERENCE_Turkey__June_2013_21-200x150.jpg\" width=\"200\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Everything is all right. I can focus to my research and study thanks to the scholarship.<br \/>\nWell, on week days, I spend my time in the lab and on weekends I often attend the international and domestic conference, almost every three months.\u00a0 I submit the paper and the committee review and publish it if they admit.\u00a0 Attending the conferences is amazing, interesting.\u00a0 At the conference I can meet many people who study in the same field, or who can give me comment to improve my research.\u00a0 When I attend the conferences, I can receive full-support such as financial and procedures support from the university and the professor.\u00a0 I went to Turkey, Australia and two other cities in Japan for conferences.\u00a0 A little worry and some challenge, I think they are needed to go on the study or research.<\/p>\n<h3>How are the relationships with your supervisor and lab members?<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/fsci\/assets\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Professor_Birthday__April_2013_1-200x150.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-3495\" alt=\"Professor_Birthday__April_2013_1-200x150\" src=\"http:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/fsci\/assets\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Professor_Birthday__April_2013_1-200x150.jpg\" width=\"200\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Professor UCHIDA had accepted many international students before I came; also he had had Vietnamese students before.\u00a0 He is used to accepting international students like me.The relationship is good.\u00a0 I use English when communicating with Professor UCHIDA, and I can speak simple Japanese with labs members.<br \/>\nIn total, there are 21 graduate students in the lab including 3 international students of two Chinese students and me.<\/p>\n<h3>Short message to the prospective students.<\/h3>\n<h4>in English<\/h4>\n<p>Hello everybody, I am Nguyen Gia Minh Thao, from Vietnam. I graduated Bachelor and Master programs at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT), where then I have become a Lecturer in Faculty of Electrical-Electronics Engineering.\u00a0 I am currently a full-time PhD student in Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan.\u00a0 First of all, I would like to share with you that: Waseda University is actually a professional and friendly environment for studying the international graduate programs. In detail, you can study\/research with well-organized lectures, updated reference documents, modern equipments, cutting-edge research themes and high-qualified professors.\u00a0 Besides, you will also receive many helpful assistances from staffs of the university\u2019s offices and Japanese students in your classes and laboratories. In fact, I am really impressed with the high enthusiasm of my professor and friends in the laboratory where I am researching at Waseda University. Indeed, I might not achieve pretty good results in my current research if without those sincere supports from them.
