I was out of my country during my undergraduate studies.
\nI’ve heard about Japan since my childhood by watching many Japanese cartoons like “Captain Tsubasa” and “Mito Kommon” so, I had very good impression about Japan and really wanted to visit Japan.
\nBesides that, as I am studying Physics, and Japanese physicists are well known in this front.\u00a0 For example Prof. Kobayashi, Physics Nobel laureate and the emeritus professor of High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK).
\nSo, it could be another great motivation to come to Japan and pursue my higher education here and study under supervision of Japanese professors.
\nI have searched a lot about Japanese universities where I could study in English.\u00a0 So, I’m very happy for finding a right place to study in Japan.
\nAnother interesting point for me about Japan is Karate.\u00a0 When I was ten years old, I started playing Karate, a Japanese martial art.<\/p>\nHave you had any difficulties when you started a new life here?<\/h3>\n

<\/a>Well, speaking Japanese and learning complicated Kanjis are my problems.\u00a0 But I am studying daily to improve my Japanese language as I think it is a really interesting language.\u00a0About foods, there is no problem because I am from the north part of my country and I am used to eat fish since my childhood.<\/p>\nHow did you find out about Waseda University?<\/h3>\n
Firstly, Waseda is one of the most prestigious universities in Japan with a good reputation.
\nSecondly, while I was checking the Waseda university website, I saw a group that their research topics were interesting for me.\u00a0 The papers they published made me interested to join them.<\/p>\nWhy did you choose Waseda University?<\/h3>\n
Its reputation and the research group which I’m currently studying, made me to join Waseda University.<\/p>\n
How did you get information for our program?<\/h3>\n
From the website!
\nI could get the information from the Department of Physics website and could see each professor’s photo, the abstract of their researches and the explanations about their latest papers.
\nIt helped me a lot to know and understand about my group and their research activities.
\nThe website is really good and useful.\u00a0 I think only a few Japanese universities have English website.<\/p>\nHow is your life in Japan and Waseda?<\/h3>\n
It’s very good.
\nI am busy with studies and that’s very good.<\/p>\nWhat do you do in your free time?<\/h3>\n

<\/a>If I have a free time I prefer to go sightseeing.\u00a0 I like to see Japanese traditional ceremonies like Matsuri, or cultural events and places.
\nI should go to Karate lessons and practice hard to get the black belt too.<\/p>\nTell us about your research and laboratory.<\/h3>\n
I am studying theoretical astrophysics and cosmology.\u00a0 I am interested in almost all areas of Astrophysics specially study of the origin and evolution of the universe.
\nCurrently I am studying about neutrino physics, supernova neutrinos and neutrino oscillations.<\/p>\nHow are the relationships with your supervisor and lab members?<\/h3>\n

<\/a>Fortunately, it is very good.\u00a0 My supervisor is very kind and colleagues are very supportive too. \u00a0They can speak English very good.\u00a0 I really thank them all.
\nThere are 4 master’s students, 3 PhD students and 4 post docs in the lab.<\/p>\nWhat is your career goal after your degree completion?<\/h3>\n
I will continue my study to achieve PhD degree.
\nI am also thinking to do something for the world.\u00a0 I want to do something new for all over the world, not just to my own country. I think, we should think beyond the political borders and break through the barriers.\u00a0 All humankind must learn from each other and help each other to make a better life.\u00a0 Besides learning from Iranians, I also learned a lot from many international people at my previous university and now in Japan.\u00a0 I want to keep learning from people, as I am sure I will be able to give something new from those I have learned to people one day.
\nTo do something new for all human kind is my goal.
\nI think it is the aim of the science to break through the borders.\u00a0 We can imagine what Einstein has done for us, or what Edison has done for the world.
\nBesides that, as much as I can, I want to learn languages.\u00a0 I am fluent in Kurdish, Persian, Hindi and English.\u00a0 Currently I am studying Japanese.\u00a0 I believe, by learning languages I can understand other cultures better and communicating with people with their own language lets me feel them much more than communicating with them with the third language.<\/p>\nShort message to the prospective students<\/h3>\n
