Despite its growing usage, there have been no universal methods toward optically pure P-chirogenic compounds reported to date. To address this issue, we propose to establish a new unified approach to access such compounds using catalytic stereoselective P-oxygenation in combination with dynamic kinetic resolution. This method will be applied to prepare coupling agents for synthesizing phosphorothioates to demonstrate its utility.
