Tezduyar, Professor at Rice University and Joint Appointment Professor at Waseda University gave a keynote lecture, and four lectures were given by five students, mostly from the TGU course of Mathematical and Physical Sciences. Prof. Nishida spoke about the results of his bifurcation research, and explained about the Hopf bifurcation in Rayleigh\u2212Benard convection. Starting from this lecture, Prof. Kenji Takizawa from Waseda University, the organizer of this workshop, explained the concept and motivation of the new research. Following this session, the speakers explained their opinions. Prof. Takayuki Kubo from Ochanomizu University spoke from the standpoint of pure mathematics, Prof. Takahito Kashiwabara from the University of Tokyo and Prof. Hirofumi Notsu from Kanazawa University spoke from the standpoint of applied mathematics, and Dr. Yuto Otoguro from Tokyo University of Science and Dr. Takuya Terahara from Waseda University spoke from the standpoint of engineering.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ContentPasted2 ContentPasted3\">Invited Guest Speeches <\/span> \/ Discussion<\/h4>\n<div class=\"table-wrapper\"><table style=\"border-collapse: collapse;
