The unit for “Multiscale Analysis, Modelling and Simulation”, Top Global University Project, Waseda University organized “International Workshop on the Multi-Phase Flow; Analysis, Modeling and Numerics” from November 28 through December 1.
The workshop consisted of the following four sections: Water wave, Periodic solutions, Numerics and modeling, Navier-Stokes-Korteweg. Each section consisted of series of lectures, 50-minute talks, and 20-minute talks. Several researchers, including young researchers, had scientific talks and we enjoyed lively discussions there.
Especially, the series of lectures were performed by the four celebrated researchers Prof. W. Craig (McMaster Univ.), Prof. M. Kyed (TU Darmstadt), Prof. B. Cockburn (Univ. of Minnesota), Prof. T. Hishida (Nagoya Univ.).
There were exiting discussions during the workshop and it was a very meaningful 4 days for participants.
