On 18 January 2024, the International Workshop “New trends in nonlinear dispersive equations” of the SGU Centre for Mathematical and Physical Sciences was held. The latest research results and research directions in nonlinear dispersive equations were explained by Dr Okamoto of Osaka University, Dr Bez of Saitama University, Dr Matsuda of EPFL and Dr Mackowiak of Ecole Polytechnique, and Laurent Thomann, Professor at Lorraine University, as the consecutive speaker, who talked about quasi-invariant measures in time-dependent Hamiltonian systems and on the well posedness of the Lowest Landau Level equation derived approximately from the Gross-Pitaevskii equation and it’s stationary problem. The workshop was held both online and face-to-face at Waseda University, and not only mathematics students but also physics students actively participated in face-to-face discussions, making the meeting a good stimulus and information exchange for the students.
