We will hold the Special lectures・Special seminars・One day workshop by Prof. Dorfmeister (T.U. Munich, Germany) from October 3 to October 17.

Lecture Plan:
1. Harmonic maps
2. Lie groups, Lie algebras, classical decomposition theorems
3. Harmonic maps from surfaces to symmetric spaces
4. The loop group method from Riemann surfaces to symmetric spaces
5. The loop group method for constant mean curvature surfaces in R^3
6. Holomorphic potentials and gauges
7. Point symmetries for harmonic maps
8. Hidden symmetries: dressing
9/10. Pseudospherical surfaces
In addition, on October 5/10/12 there are extra lectures by guest speakers (Guest, Kobayashi)
