WU YIJIANG 2nd<\/sup> year of master’s program<\/strong><\/p>\n

Research Direction:
\nIn today’s world, energy and environmental problems are becoming more and more serious. Electronic devices with low energy consumption and high reliability are favored by people, and power devices (power mos, igbt, etc.) are widely used in power conversion systems. In the INUISHI Lab, research is focused on power electronics and the performance and reliability of power devices, using Technology Computer Aided Design (TCAD) software to simulate power devices and to achieve higher performance and durability at lower cost by changing process parameters or designing new structures, thus reduce the losses in the power devices in the circuit. Professor Inuishi is a very nice person, he will trigger our thinking through problems and instruct us to solve them ourselves. The atmosphere with Professor Inuishi is also very relaxed and he is always kindly to help us in our research and life.<\/p>\n

My research:
\nI am working on research related to Reverse-Conducting LIGBTs, which are commonly used as electronic devices in power electronics circuits and are usually parallel connected by diodes to protect them from breakdown. The semiconductor device that integrates a normally discrete IGBT with a Diode is called the Reverse-Conducting IGBT, and with a high-performance P-type device, the complexity of the drive circuit is greatly simplified for a typical power electronics circuit, and it is possible to integrate an inverter on a single wafer. With the guidance of Professor Inuishi and the help of PhD predecessors, my research is able to move steadily forward.<\/p>\n

Lab activities:
\nThe members of the INUISHI Lab have a very good rapport, and as well as discussing academic issues together, we often meet for meals and go on trips together during holidays. At INUISHI Lab, you can balance your studies with your life and enjoy the food and culture of Japan.
