He has published a number of books and articles on Japanese politics and Japan\u2019s foreign relations, including Japan\u2019s Postwar Party Politics (Princeton University Press 1997) and Seido [Institutions] (University of Tokyo Press 2002), and Seiji o Kagaku Suru Koto wa Kano-ka [Is It Possible to Study Politics Scientifically?] (Chuo Koron Shin-sha, 2018).
