He has published articles on the relationship banking and competition, and the role of government-controlled banks in financial crises in Journal of Financial Intermediation and Journal of Banking and Finance. His recent research topics include the impact of the network structure among borrowers to lending decisions, and the empirical study on unsecured loans and intangible investments. He has been at the School of Political Science and Economics (SPSE), Waseda University, since 2012. Before joining Waseda, he taught at Ritsumeikan University and Hitotsubashi University.
