https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/fpse\/gsps\/assets\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Joint-Workshop-Report.docx<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n *Below is for reference (Outline of the event)<\/p>\n In this joint workshop, Prof. Liang Tang from the Faculty of Political Science and Economics is pleased to invite Prof. Lu Zheng from the School of Social Sciences, Tsinghua University to give a guest presentation titled “A New Search for China’s Local Governance: A Case Study of the Qinghe Road.\u201d Following the presentation, there will be a panel discussion with researchers and graduate students from various universities in China and Japan on the topics of social policy and local governance.<\/p>\n Date and Time: February 10 (Mon), 15:00 pm ~ 17:00 pm Guest profile:<\/p>\n Dr. Lu Zheng is an Associate Professor of Sociology with tenure at Tsinghua University. He holds the Volkswagen-sustainability Chair at Schwarzman College, and is the founding director of the Center for Society and Finance, School of Social Sciences, Tsinghua University. He received his Ph.D. from Stanford University and worked at Texas A&M University and Southwest University of Finance and Economics before joining Tsinghua University as an associate professor in 2012. His research spans inequality and mobility, the sociology of finance, and social policy and governance in China. His papers have featured in prestigious journals such as Strategic Management Journal, British Journal of Sociology, Social Forces, and Social Science Research,<\/p>\n
