The Graduate School of Political Science at Waseda University will hold a special programme in 2024 to further expand methodological education following the arrival of Professor Teppei Yamamoto<\/a>, a leading scholar in Political Methodology. This causal inference summer intensive seminar is open to participants regardless of their affiliation. Professor Teppei Yamamoto has selected Professor Ryan Moore of American University<\/a> to conduct the seminar in a face-to-face format on the following dates. The course is free of charge.<\/p>\n

Aug. 20-23
\n10:40am to 12:20pm (2nd period): Lecture
\n1:10pm to 2:50pm (3rd period): Lecture
\n3:05pm to 4:45pm (4th period): Office Hour@11F 1113<\/p>\n

Waseda Campus Bldg. 3<\/a>, 9F 909 <\/del>\u00a0 6F 601 *Face-to-face only<\/p>\n

*Expenses related to the seminar\u00a0(transportation to the university, accommodation, etc.) are to be borne by the participant. You will also need to make those arrangements yourself.<\/p>\n

Lecture Contents<\/h5>\n

The content will be based on 2K: Causal Inference and Experiments in the Social Sciences<\/a>, which Professor Moore is developing for the Essex Summer Course. The content will be a more intensive version of the same lecture, with some elective options. The language is English.<\/p>\n

Due to the large number of applications, the application process has been closed.<\/p>\n

The prior registration is required, this special programme is open to non-Waseda participants as well. Please note that due to the limited space for the classroom, a lottery will be held once the maximum number of participants has been reached (and in such cases, a certain priority allocation will be given to Waseda participants).<\/del><\/p>\n
