¡Ú¥¿¥¤¥È¥ë¡ÛHow to estimate Nash Optimal Party Positions during an electoral competition: presenting the Nopp package for R

Nopp (http://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/nopp/) is a package for R which enables to compute party/candidate ideological positions that correspond to a Nash Equilibrium along a one-dimensional space. It accommodates alternative motivations in (each) party strategy while allowing to estimate the uncertainty around their optimal positions through two di fferent procedures (bootstrap and MC). During the presentation I will illustrate our package by applying it to the Italian 2006 election, and eventually, to the Japanese 1996 election.

*The talk will be given in English.
