Efficiency measures are a standard part of lab experiments in economics. The talk will explain how efficiency is measured in the lab, why that method cannot be used in the field, and propose a new definition and new method that would allow observing allocative efficiency in the field. Initial demonstrations of the methodology will be discussed. |
