Professor Beitman of the Australian National University, known worldwide for his research on currency law, visits Japan and has requested to hold a symposium at Waseda University together with Japanese researchers and students who are also interested in the issue of currency. With the introduction of Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) expected within a few years and the spread of crypto assets and stable coins, it is time to rethink currency from a legal perspective.
